Just because IGR is not involved in a tournament or event does not mean it does not exist. Non-IGR events hosted by individual IGR clubs may be smaller, but they are bursting with inclusivity on the pitch and warmly welcome other IGR member clubs.
Hosted each year by a different club in a different Australian city, the Purchas Cup is Australia’s regional tournament and always a source of exceptional rugby, with some of IGR’s best-performing clubs taking part in the weekend-long event.
Hosted each Labour Day weekend (early September) by Toronto Muddy York RFC, the Beaver Bowl is a regional favourite for Canadian and American teams within driving distance of Toronto. Hosted by Birmingham Bulls RFC, Touch My Brum is an inclusive tournament open to all, regardless of gender identity. As a touch rugby event, teams are mixed and made up of players of any gender identity, making it a truly all-inclusive experience. It is a one-day event held on a different date each year.
