The New Orleans Halfmoons Womxn’s Rugby Club, established in 1978, is one of the oldest women’s rugby clubs in the United States and is based in New Orleans. A 501(c)(3) non-profit, the club is built around inclusivity, community and growing the women’s game, and fields a Division III side in the True South competition. The Halfmoons have hosted their celebrated Mardi Gras tournament since 1980.
