The First Nations Lorikeets are a groundbreaking Australia wide inclusive rugby club for LGBTQIA+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, founded in 2025 by former Sydney Convicts and Brisbane Hustlers players. Created as a culturally safe space where mob and queer family stand together, the club uses rugby to build pride, wellbeing and community from the cities to regional and remote areas. A Sydney based mixed touch side is already active, with the club building toward the Ella 7s and a debut at the 2026 Bingham Cup in Brisbane.
