The countdown to Bingham Cup 2026 is almost over.
In just days, players, clubs, officials, volunteers and supporters from across the world will come together in Brisbane for Bingham Cup 2026, one of the biggest events in the International Gay Rugby calendar.
Hosted by Brisbane Hustlers Rugby Union Football Club, Bingham Cup 2026 will bring the global inclusive rugby community to Brisbane for the first time, with the Bingham Cup and Amanda Mark Cup at the heart of a week of rugby, friendship and celebration.
And with tournament week almost upon us, there is one important addition to everyone’s phone before the action begins.
Rugby Xplorer is the official app for Bingham Cup 2026
IGR is thrilled to announce that Rugby Xplorer will be the official app for Bingham Cup 2026.
Fixtures, results, team news, live match information and tournament updates will all be available in one place, making Rugby Xplorer the easiest way for players and supporters to keep up with the competition as it unfolds.
Most registered players will already have Rugby Xplorer from the tournament registration process. Supporters, friends and family are encouraged to download it now, so they are ready before the first matches kick off.

Add Bingham Cup 2026 to Rugby Xplorer
Once you have the app:
- Open Rugby Xplorer
- Select Teams
- Tap the large pink + button
- Select RAU Community Club
- Search Bingham Cup
- Tap the + next to Bingham Cup. It will change to a purple tick
- Select Save
That’s it. Bingham Cup will appear as a tile in your Teams section, giving you quick access to the tournament throughout the week.
The Bingham Cup week begins
The wider programme begins on Sunday 16 August with the Tournament Draw at The Wickham, when teams will discover who they will face in Brisbane.
On Wednesday 19 August, attention turns to the University of Queensland for the IGR AGM, followed by the Captains & Managers Meeting and Referees Meeting.
That evening, the IGR community comes together for the official Opening Ceremony at the UQ Centre, marking the formal start of Bingham Cup 2026.
Then the rugby begins.
Four days of tournament competition run from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August, with matches taking place at Norths Rugby Club and Ballymore.
Thursday opens the tournament match programme at Norths Rugby Club. Friday and Saturday see matches across Norths and Ballymore, before the competition returns to Norths for Finals Day on Sunday 23 August.

More than four days of rugby
As ever, Bingham Cup is about much more than what happens on the pitch.
Tournament week includes a full programme of gatherings and social events, including the Amanda Mark Cup Friday Social at The Wickham and the Official Tournament Party on Saturday evening.
After Finals Day, players, clubs, volunteers and supporters will come together at Fortitude Music Hall for the Closing Ceremony, bringing Bingham Cup 2026 to a fitting conclusion.
Brisbane joins the Bingham Cup story
The first Bingham Cup was held in San Francisco in 2002 in memory of Mark Bingham, bringing inclusive rugby teams together from around the world to honour his life and his love of the game.
What began as a tribute has grown into a major biennial international celebration of rugby, friendship, diversity and inclusion.
The tournament has since travelled to cities including Manchester, Sydney, Dublin, Amsterdam, Ottawa and Rome.
In 2026, Brisbane becomes a Bingham Cup host city for the first time, an important milestone for inclusive rugby in the Asia-Pacific region.
Alongside the Bingham Cup, Brisbane will host the Amanda Mark Cup, IGR’s women’s championship, continuing the growth of women’s inclusive rugby on the international stage.

Months of preparation by the Brisbane organisers, IGR, participating clubs and hundreds of players and volunteers are about to become four days of competition and a week that brings our international rugby family together.
