International Gay Rugby (IGR)
and GayRugbyClubs.com (GRC) come together to celebrate
two decades of gay and inclusive rugby, as the world’s
first gay rugby club, London’s King Cross Steelers
mark their 20th anniversary on Sunday 1st November
In celebration of this milestone, IGR and GRC present
the “GAYRUGBY@20” project, a time capsule
event in which you are asked to offer a defining snapshot
of gay rugby in 2015, the results of which will be
available to you, your club, potential new club members,
sponsors and national unions early next year.
All you need to do is, in your own words, answer
a simple question…
“What Does Gay Rugby Mean To Me?”
A dedicated Facebook group has been set up to enable
you to offer your thoughts, capturing the very essence
of what you feel the past twenty years have achieved.
In addition, you are asked to sum up gay rugby with
ten key words, words which will be collated and presented
early next year in word cloud format.
The “GAYRUGBY@20” project will officially
launch on Monday 18th October, but as you are at the
heart of gay rugby, we ask you to get involved now,
enabling us to launch with a solid list of thoughts
So, with your thoughts and 10 key words to hand,
please visit www.facebook.com/groups/gayrugbyat20
On behalf of IGR and GRC, thank you in advance for
participating in this exciting project.
